Born in Osaka. Graduated from Kyoto University of Education with a major in Western painting. Started cloisonne enamel painting while still in school.
From 1970 to the present, he has held solo and group exhibitions in Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, China, the U.S. (New York, LA, Houston, Tucson, Chicago), and Korea. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, China, USA (New York, LA, Houston, Tucson, Chicago, Italy, etc.).
Conducts original research and development of silk screen cloisonne, urushippo, glass embryo cloisonne, kiraekura, and others.
